First, as the amount of vulcanizate increases, the number of crosslinks formed around the carbon black particles increases, the fixed elongation increases, and the hardness increases. From this level, hardness and fixed elongation have the same correlation. That is, all factors that can increase the hardness increase the fixed elongation of the rubber compound.
 
Second, the higher the carbon black, the higher the fixed elongation of the vulcanizate. The relationship between the particle size of carbon black and the fixed elongation is different from the hardness.
